Welcome to the chorale.
We are very happy to have you join the Chorale de Cazals, an international group of singers from France, United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. Everyone is extremely welcome, whether an experienced singer or not, and we are led by our charismatic and inspirational Chef de Chorale, Anke de Bruyn. To assist everyone with their singing parts Anke has recorded everything on MP3 which means you can practice any time at home and are familiar with your part when you come to the rehearsal on Monday evenings……easy peasy! We try to do two or three concerts a year which are held in the Salle de Fetes in Cazals, the church in Cazals, and the end of season concert in the L’Arsenic theatre in Gindou. We also perform regularly in the EHPADs in Cazals and Salviac, which is so much enjoyed by the residents that we have also organised small sing-along groups with them.
We have an amazingly varied repertoire – you are bound to find something you really enjoy singing, possibly in a language you have never heard before and certainly don’t understand…..translations are always available! The feeling of being part of an enthusiastic singing group all singing together is very special. We also think the social aspect of the chorale is important, so we organise an apero-hour one evening every month after rehearsals when altos can actually chat to sopranos and baritones and maybe form new friendships. You will not regret becoming one of us, I am sure!
